Overview

We are pleased to bring you this webinar on raising capital to fund growth.  An experienced panel of experts will compare the various financing options, discuss the pros and cons of venture capital or the non-dilutive growth funding route. Using examples of the type of companies they have funded, they will explain how the financing rounds are structured and what the bankers look for.

At the end of the webinar, the Board Directors and company leadership will have a guide to securing growth capital. And also have direct contacts with leading capital investors that empower companies to reach their next growth milestone, bring on critical new hires, and get a better valuation.

Board Directors are often asked to help raise capital, as CEOs are busy running the day to day business which takes grit and perseverance to succeed on this journey. One of the most important job requirements of the CEO is to be diligent about financing growth while navigating the ebbs and flows of business. It’s no surprise, then, that executives often get lost navigating the morass of finding funding to fuel growth initiatives. And, this is where they turn to Board Directors for guidance and help.

Often, the first option is taking on an Equity Investment. But this means conforming to the investor's expectations of how the company should grow; and also giving up some control. On the other hand, Growth Capital is a debt facility that does not dilute the ownership. As long as the debt can be serviced, it is cheaper than venture capital. In the long run, founders get to retain more ownership and use the debt to grow revenue. And the resulting higher value can lead to a more lucrative equity round or even M&A.

Board Directors, with current knowledge of the financing options can play a timely role in guiding the CEO. As a Board Director you can educate your founders and guide them through all the options in securing growth capital versus taking on an equity investor. They can help companies finance their healthy growth with non-dilutive debt capital and delay or forgo equity rounds.
