John is the founder and President, Talons Ventures. Stewart works with disruptive startup companies, venture funds, consults to midsize to large businesses on government relations and cyber, and gives back in philanthropic efforts on education, equality, and anti-poaching. Stewart invested in 360Privacy, Awake Security, Anomali, Balkan.ID, Cequence Security, Dedrone, Privoro, RiskSense, SiScale, Theom, Uniphore, Vaultree and VirSec, is on the Board of Directors for BlackPoint Security, QuantumXchange, SightGain, SpyCloud, Theom, TrustMAPP, and Vaultree, is a special advisor to the Board of Directors for 360 Privacy, Obsidian, SAFE Security, and SkyHigh Security, serves on the Technical Advisory Board for RedSift and VirSec, and sits on the Dean’s Advisory Council for Syracuse University’s School of Engineering. Prior to founding Talons Ventures, Stewart served as SVP, Chief Security & Trust Officer at Cisco Systems. During his 15+ years at Cisco, Cisco established its leadership in national security matters, the enterprise security market, privacy, and trust - leadership the company carries on to this day. Under Stewart’s leadership, the Security & Trust organization was formed, protecting Cisco’s public and private customers, enabling and ensuring Cisco Secure Development Lifecycle and Trustworthy Systems efforts across the company’s portfolio, and establishing world leadership in data protection and privacy, trust and assurance, and cybersecurity efforts with governments globally.

Stewart’s career includes wide ranging security initiatives from IT design for elementary schools to national security programs. Stewart served on the Australian Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet Cyber Security Review panel, the Cybersecurity Think Tank at the University of Maryland University College, and the CSIS Commission on Cybersecurity for the 44th United States Presidency. Stewart also served on the Board of Directors for Fixmo, Koolspan, the National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance (NCFTA), RiskSense, Shadow Networks, and Shape Security, and he has advised Akonix Systems, Anomali, Area 1 Security, Cloudshield Technologies, Finjan, Ingrian Networks, Nok Nok Labs, Riverhead Networks, and TripWire.

Stewart received numerous awards throughout his career, including RSA’s Excellence in Information Security, the Golden Bridge CISO of the Year, the CSO 40 Silver Chief Security Officer of the Year, the ‘Stevie’ Innovator of the Year in Computer Services, Security Magazine’s Most Influential Security Executive, and is a Fed100 Recipient. His team was the Golden Bridge Awards IT Team of the Year and Management Team of the Year, and the InfoSecurity Products Guide Global Excellence Award for Security Organization of the Year.

Prior to his time at Cisco, Stewart was CISO for Digital Island, had his first tour at Cisco, and worked at NASA Ames Research Center. Stewart holds a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in computer and information science from Syracuse University

      


Arthur W. Coviello, Jr.

Since stepping down from RSA in 2015 Art Coviello has been an active investor and advisor in the technology industry, guiding a number of startups as a private investor and in his roles as an advisor to SYN Ventures Security Fund, and as a senior advisor to Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunities Group.

From January 2001 Art served as President and CEO of RSA and following RSA’s acquisition by EMC (for $2.1B) as an Executive Vice President of EMC and head of its Security Division. Mr. Coviello has been a central figure within the information security industry for more than 25 years. Under his leadership, he built RSA Conference into the most respected, vendor agnostic event in cybersecurity. He is frequently a featured presenter at conferences and forums around the world, and he has played key roles in several national cybersecurity initiatives.

Mr. Coviello serves on the Boards of Directors of Cybereason, Synchrony Financial (NYSE: SYF), Tenable (NASDAQ: TENB), Epiphany Technology Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: EPHY), Bugcrowd, and SecZetta (and formerly Cylance, sold to Blackberry; Verodin, sold to FireEye; and Mandiant).

Prior to RSA, Mr. Coviello had extensive executive management experience in several technology companies. He started his career as a certified public accountant at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (Deloitte).

Mr. Coviello graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts in 1975 with a BBA, concentration in accounting.

Jim Routh has over 30 years of experience in information technology and information security as a practitioner, management consultant and leader of technology, analytic and information security functions for global firms. He has held Chief Security Officer positions for Mass Mutual, Aetna, KPMG, and American Express. He is on the Advisory Committee for the UC Berkeley Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity. He previously served as a Board Member of the FS-ISAC. Jim advises several cybersecurity startups, and serves on the Board of Directors for GrammaTech and Supply Wisdom.

Marnie has more than twenty years of experience aligning cybersecurity strategy with business objectives to support and accelerate growth. She has built and led Cybersecurity and Enterprise Risk Management programs to meet business and regulatory needs for Financial Services, Healthcare Technology, and E-Commerce companies worldwide. Marnie currently serves on the Board of Directors for Robert Half, International; non-profit organizations RH-ISAC and CyberCrime Support Network; and advises several cybersecurity startup companies. Prior to Wayfair, Marnie was Global CISO for Orion Health; Senior Director of Security Compliance for Early Warning; and Information Security Officer for Wells Fargo Mortgage. She holds the CISSP, CISA, and CISM designations, as well as an MBA in Technology Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Statistics.
