Devika Kornbacher
Co-Head
Clifford Chance Tech Group

Devika Kornbacher is the Co-Head of the Clifford Chance Tech Group, a cross disciplinary team of 600+ lawyers globally advising on Tech risk and opportunity. She is also an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional (US). Devika received a bachelor of science in engineering from the University of Houston and her juris doctor from Harvard Law School, where she was a member of the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology. She also worked with the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University and the Chief Technology Officer of Massachusetts.

Devika leverages her extensive technological knowledge and experience to assist clients in fields such as software, hardware, sports, aviation, and retail. She provides comprehensive advice on technology-related legal matters, including data privacy compliance, cybersecurity preparedness, commercialization agreements, and obtaining, protecting, and licensing intellectual property rights. She handles a wide array of transactions, including license agreements, supply agreements, data sharing agreements, reseller agreements, collaboration agreements, joint ventures, software development agreements and patent clearances.

She has a J.D. from Harvard Law School (Research and Technology Director, Harvard Legal Aid Bureau; Honorable Mention, Williston Contract Drafting and Negotiation Competition; Harvard Journal of Law and Technology), a B.S.C.E cum laude from the University of Houston (Alpha Lambda Delta-Pi Eta Sigma; Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society; Vice President, Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society). She’s also been admitted to practices in New York, Texas, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

      


Dave Tyson

Dave Tyson is the President of Apollo Information Systems, a concierge Cyber Security consultancy with operations across the USA and Canada. Over 30 years of experience in Cyber & Physical security leadership battling organized crime and nation state attackers has prepared him for all aspects of Enterprise Security Risk Management. He is also the co-founder of Cyber Easy Learning, an online and classroom Cyber Security training program that teaches Cyber Security in plain English!

His previous role was Chief Information Security Officer for SC Johnson. Prior to joining SCJ he led security programs for the largest Power Utility in the USA, was the Global Security operations lead for the largest E-commerce company in the world, and the Chief Security Officer for the Host City of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Mr. Tyson has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Digital Technology Management, is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and is Board Certified in Security Management. In 2021 he earned a Certificate in Board Governance from the Private Director’s Association (PDA). Dave is a frequent speaker at conferences and education events in North and South America, ASIA, and Europe.

Dave currently serves as the Co-chair for the National Cyber Security Initiative for the Private Director’s Association, engaged in enhancing Board Cybersecurity governance practices. Dave is a Past Chairman of the Board and 2015 President of ASIS International.

      


Ashley B. Jones

Ashley joined Lockton in 2015 after working for six years as a litigator representing carriers in insurance coverage litigation arising from catastrophic commercial property loss. She has experience representing clients in all aspects of such litigation and her legal practice specifically focused on novel insurance coverage issues often involving large business interruption claims.  At Lockton, Ashley serves as a Unit Manager, Account Executive within the Financial Services and Cyber Technologies practices. In that role, she provides unparalleled service to her clients, including mid to large public and private firms. Her responsibilities include placing management liability insurance programs with Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Commercial Crime, Kidnap & Ransom, Cyber/Privacy Liability, and Errors and Omissions coverage. Ashley specifically works with clients to ensure their policies are drafted in a manner to avoid coverage disputes and maximize available coverage. Additionally, Ashley is a member of the national Lockton Financial Services Claims Practice group, and in that capacity serves as a resource to clients to help resolve any claims problems they encounter. Ashley is also a member of Lockton’s Emerging Asset Protection (“LEAP”) team.   She has a Juris Doctorate from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University, and a B.A. in French and Art History from Southern Methodist University.

Brad has been a CIO or Digital Officer since 2010 and frequent interaction with boards on cybersecurity comes with the territory of any CIO. Brad has retained a decades long passion for security after spending several years as cybersecurity manager for LyondellBasell Industries
