Demystifying ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Impact & The Application of ESG Practice in Business

Overview

ESG is the acronym used to describe the environmental, social, and governance impacts of an entity. ESG represents a fundamental shift in focus from financial and business performance to benefits to stakeholders with the goal of harnessing the creative power of individuals and teams to generate long-term value for an entity’s stakeholders, including members of society and the environment in which the entity operates. A key assumption is the hypothesis that businesses cannot have long-term success in failed societies.

Capital providers (debt or equity) are increasingly focused on ESG risk factors in today’s market, as many find these factors helpful in understanding a company’s long-term value creation strategy. Business entities also are seeing increased focus on ESG from elected officials and stakeholders.

In this timely meeting you will learn about ESG and beef up on the steps an executive or board members needs to take. Although ESG is a broad subject a good understanding of the rules and impact would empower you.
