Overview

ESOPs  have been around for almost 50 years.  On a per capita basis, Minnesota has one of the largest number of ESOP owned companies in the U.S.  Employee ownership is becoming a very popular topic when privately held companies consider ownership transition.  Our panel will share their varied experiences of working at and/or serving as directors of esop owned companies.  Attendees will gain knowledge about esops and hear about how serving on an the board of an esop owned company compares and contrasts to other private company boards. This is a particularly rich opportunity to explore the role, duties and responsibilities of a board member.
