Robert Flowers

Robert is a Partner in the Dallas office at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP. Where he focuses his practice on corporate and regulatory representation of small to large regional and national financial institution franchises and privately held companies that are not financial institutions. He counsels clients on M&A transactions involving both bank and non-bank entities, as well as provides representation on securities offerings, capital planning, and corporate restructuring, and lending matters for bank and non-bank entities. He also advises financial institutions and financial service providers on various regulatory and compliance issues, corporate governance matters, and employee and employee compensation matters.

           

Jacob W. Thompson, CVA

Mr. Thompson is a Managing Director at SAMCO Capital Markets, Inc. focusing on the financial services industry, particularly community and commercial banks. Prior to SAMCO, Mr. Thompson served as Managing Director of Commerce Street Capital, LLC. During his career in investment banking, Mr. Thompson has participated in over 75 merger and acquisition transactions involving community banks and bank holding companies. In addition, Mr. Thompson has completed over 150 valuation engagements of privately-held stock of commercial banks and bank holding companies in Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas for ESOP’s, share offerings and repurchases, estate planning, Subchapter S Corporation elections, merger & acquisition transactions and holding company formations. Mr. Thompson has also completed numerous purchase price allocation engagements providing fair value analysis of acquired loan and deposit portfolios.

Mr. Thompson began his career as an Associate Relationship Manager with Frost Bank in Fort Worth in commercial banking and credit analysis. He received a BBA degree in Finance from Texas Christian University and holds multiple securities licenses. Mr. Thompson is a Certified Valuation Analyst (“CVA”) and a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (“NACVA”) and is a regular presenter to the Commercial Banking Program at Texas A&M University.

Chris Kirkpatrick

Chris Kirkpatrick is a Director of Texas Security Bank and serves on the bank’s Risk and Audit Committees. Chris is a corporate partner in the law firm of Wick Phillips and currently serves as the head of the firm’s Investment Funds Practice Group. Chris focuses his practice on corporate/securities matters and the formation and operation of investment advisers and private investment funds. Previously, Chris was the general counsel and chief compliance officer for a multi-billion-dollar asset management firm located in Dallas, Texas, and a corporate partner in the law firm of Haynes and Boone LLP, where he advised corporate boards, audit committees and special committees in connection with various regulatory matters and internal investigations. Chris began his legal career in the Enforcement Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission where he investigated and litigated violations of the federal securities laws.

Renda Matthew

Renda Mathew serves as the Dallas Market President at Truist. She is a life-long resident of the Dallas area and has spent her banking career working with family owned and privately held middle market companies.

Her twenty plus years in banking allows her to bring solution-based financing and planning, and her background aligns with Truist Bank’s key components of partnering with the community and empowering healthy economic growth while enhancing the quality of life for her hometown. Renda attended the University of Texas at Arlington and is continuing her passion for learning at the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.

Renda serves on the board for the Greater Irving Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce. Renda is a board member of The Dallas Chapter of The Entrepreneurship Institute, co-Chair of the Women’s Inclusion Network for Truist and is on the Local Advisory Council for the Truist Foundation. She is a proud class member of Leadership Dallas 2023 and member of The Dallas Assembly. She is a member of the Executive Women’s Roundtable and the Education and Workforce Council with the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce.
