Anne Cleary
Public and Private Director
PDA Alabama Chapter

Anne Cleary serves as a public and private company director and is a former C-suite executive of a Fortune 500 energy company. She brings to the board room an extensive track record of commercializing assets and asset management, P&L creation, strategy development, and navigating businesses through major industry and business cycles.
Anne’s currently serves as a Non-Executive Independent Director for several companies, including:

  • Fervo Energy, a next-generation geothermal development company, delivering 24/7 carbon-free electricity.
  • Infrastructure Investment Fund, a worldwide private infrastructure fund with assets in a number of different arenas, including renewable power, terminals, utilities, district heating and pipelines.
  • Onward Energy, a 4 GW renewables and natural-gas fired generation company, where she serves as the Chair of the Audit Committee.

Anne has also served as a Non-Executive Independent Director at Southwest Generation from 2018-2020, where she was the Chair of the Audit Committee. (Southwest Generation merged with Novatus in 2020 to form Onward Energy). From 2018-2021, Anne served on the Board of The Ascendant Group Ltd. (BSX:AGL), which operates the Bermuda Electric Light Company, where she served on the Governance and Human Resource and Compensation Committees. During her board tenure, Ascendant underwent a strategic review process which culminated in the successful sale of the company.

Anne’s proven business track record includes leading all aspects of the integration of two Fortune 500 company M&A transactions, successful development, and commercialization of large capital power projects, and serving as the business unit president for over 6,000 MW of generation with an annual EBITDA of over $125 million. She now helps companies plan and execute their transition to a more carbon-neutral footprint, including the usage of distributed grid and energy storage technologies.
