As we look to 2022, we’re all hoping for a total return to normal, however, the pandemic has proven to be the great disrupter. How can your company plan for 2022 when it comes to designing executive pay programs and setting performance goals for both short- and long-term incentive compensa tion? Ed Steinhoff, a Managing Director in Pearl Meyer’s Chicago office, has more th an 25 years’ experience in executive compensation. He works with the Boards of Directors and senior management teams of public and private companies, ranging from small and middle-market firms to multibillion-dollar corporati ons, to design pay programs that drive business performance and value creat ion, secure high-performing executive talent, and meet both regulatory stan dards and stakeholder expectations.
Ed leads client engagements acros s many industries, with a focus on insurance, banking, manufacturing and co nstruction organizations. Prior to joining Pearl Meyer, Ed led the Michigan market compensation business at Mercer. He also has corporate compensation experience with Amoco Corporation in Chicago.
Ed received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Georgetown University and a Master of Bu siness Administration degree from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. He speaks regularly on compensation issues and is a member of Am erica’s Health Insurance Plans, National Association of Corporate Directors , and WorldatWork.

Kristin Colber-B aker is a seasoned global executive and independent corporate director. Wi th experience in publicly traded, private equity-backed and family-owned co mpanies, Kristin’s leadership, functional expertise and intellectual curios ity have been the hallmarks of her 30+ year career. Her global finance expe rtise – including extensive M&A and turnaround experience – spans iconi c consumer goods, retail, and restaurant companies such as Mars, PepsiCo, Y UM! Brands, and Burger King. Following a successful 20-year career in fina nce, Kristin was hand-selected to lead a strategic talent transformation ac ross Mars entire $38B consumer goods and veterinarian business comprised of 125,000 employees in 73 countries. After 10 years in the Talent arena, Kr istin remains a student of creating cultures where both people and profit t hrive. Currently she serve as Global Director, Diversity, Equity & Inc lusion for Mars, Inc.
In addition to her extensive experience present ing to the boards of several of the companies she has served, Kristin is an independent director of Fresh DelMonte Produce (NYSE: FDP), serving on the Audit and Compensation committees. She also serves on the board of Compas sion International, a $1B global non-profit child development organization; she chairs the Compensation committee and is a member of the Audit committ ee.
Kristin received her BA in Economics from Wheaton College and he r MBA from University of Virginia Darden School of Business. She completed the Women's Director Development Program at the Kellogg School of Managemen t at Northwestern University.

Mary Lee has served in a variety of senior leadership positions—including CEO a nd CTO—in the publishing, printing and educational services industries. Mos t recently she was the President & Chief Executive Officer of SG360°. P rior to her role at SG360°, she was the President & Chief Executive Off icer of Follett Corp. Prior to her election as President & CEO of Folle tt, Mary Lee served as President, Digital Solutions & Chief Technology Officer for RR Donnelley. She started her career in publishing in New York working for Conde Nast Publications, Time Inc., and McGraw Hill.
Mary Lee serves on the boards of Utah-based Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, New York-based Active International and Illinois-based Old World Industrie s. On the not-for-profit front, she serves on Penn State University’s Board of Trustees, the Board of the Chicago Public Library Foundation and Mercy Home for Boys & Girls’ Leader Council.
She has a B.A. from Penn S tate University, an M.S. from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA and an M.S. from Northwestern University. Mary Lee has earned the Natio nal Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship Certification an d in 2020 was named a “Director to Watch” by Private Company Director Magaz ine.

Haleigh Stilton is a vice president based in Los Angeles with ten years of executive compensation consulting experience. Ha leigh specializes in advising Directors and executives on all issues relate d to compensation, aiming to create long-term value by aligning executives' financial incentives with the company's strategic plan.
Haleigh has worked with a variety of companies across many industries, ranging from pre -IPO to the Fortune 500, with a particular focus on technology, life scienc es, consumer products, and media. Her areas of expertise include executive and Board of Directors compensation benchmarking, annual and long-term ince ntive plan design, and severance and change-in-control provisions.
Ha leigh graduated from the University of Chicago with Bachelor’s degree in ec onomics. She is a member of the Silicon Valley Compensation Association (SV CA) and a contributor to the firm’s annual National Association of Corporat e Directors (NACD) Board Compensation Survey.
