Richard Longabaugh Interim Executive, Board Member
|
Rich has held executive leadership roles in non-profit, government, retail and higher education enhanced with more than 12 years in executive search. His business philosophy is to hire the best people available, push decision making to the lowest level possible, remove the obstacles that get in the way of managers and assume the first mistake anyone makes is his. Experience has taught that the collective wisdom of people with diverse perspectives yields better decisions. In other words, the group is smarter than any individual. Having been a CEO, he can empathize with the pressures, vulnerability and loneliness that can haunt a business owner or C-suite executive. Community and volunteer activities are an important part of his DNA and have included working with unemployed adults as a Moderator for 40 Plus, an Event Manager for Gathering on the Green, a veteran nail pounder for Habitat for Humanity, a fundraiser for his local PBS station and a church Elder.
He serves on the Executive Council (Board) of the Wisconsin Chapter of the Private Directors Association and as Co-Chair of the Program Committee..
