Ed Steinhoff

Ed Steinhoff, a Managing Director in Pearl Meyer’s Chicago office, has more than 25 years’ experience in executive compensation. He works with the Boards of Directors and senior management teams of public and private companies, ranging from small and middle-market firms to multibillion-dollar corporations, to design pay programs that drive business performance and value creation, secure high-performing executive talent, and meet both regulatory standards and stakeholder expectations.

Ed leads client engagements across many industries, with a focus on insurance, banking, manufacturing and construction organizations. Prior to joining Pearl Meyer, Ed led the Michigan market compensation business at Mercer. He also has corporate compensation experience with Amoco Corporation in Chicago.

Ed received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. He speaks regularly on compensation issues and is a member of America’s Health Insurance Plans, National Association of Corporate Directors, and WorldatWork.


Kristin Colber-Baker

Kristin Colber-Baker is a seasoned global executive and independent corporate director.  With experience in publicly traded, private equity-backed and family-owned companies, Kristin’s leadership, functional expertise and intellectual curiosity have been the hallmarks of her 30+ year career. Her global finance expertise – including extensive M&A and turnaround experience – spans iconic consumer goods, retail, and restaurant companies such as Mars, PepsiCo, YUM! Brands, and Burger King.  Following a successful 20-year career in finance, Kristin was hand-selected to lead a strategic talent transformation across Mars entire $38B consumer goods and veterinarian business comprised of 125,000 employees in 73 countries.  After 10 years in the Talent arena, Kristin remains a student of creating cultures where both people and profit thrive.  Currently she serve as Global Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for Mars, Inc.

In addition to her extensive experience presenting to the boards of several of the companies she has served, Kristin is an independent director of Fresh DelMonte Produce (NYSE: FDP), serving on the Audit and Compensation committees.  She also serves on the board of Compassion International, a $1B global non-profit child development organization; she chairs the Compensation committee and is a member of the Audit committee. 

Kristin received her BA in Economics from Wheaton College and her MBA from University of Virginia Darden School of Business. She completed the Women's Director Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.


Mary Lee Schneider

Mary Lee has served in a variety of senior leadership positions—including CEO and CTO—in the publishing, printing and educational services industries. Most recently she was the President & Chief Executive Officer of SG360°. Prior to her role at SG360°, she was the President & Chief Executive Officer of Follett Corp. Prior to her election as President & CEO of Follett, Mary Lee served as President, Digital Solutions & Chief Technology Officer for RR Donnelley. She started her career in publishing in New York working for Conde Nast Publications, Time Inc., and McGraw Hill.

Mary Lee serves on the boards of Utah-based Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, New York-based Active International and Illinois-based Old World Industries. On the not-for-profit front, she serves on Penn State University’s Board of Trustees, the Board of the Chicago Public Library Foundation and Mercy Home for Boys & Girls’ Leader Council.

She has a B.A. from Penn State University, an M.S. from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA and an M.S. from Northwestern University. Mary Lee has earned the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship Certification and in 2020 was named a “Director to Watch” by Private Company Director Magazine.  



Haleigh Stilton

Haleigh Stilton is a vice president based in Los Angeles with ten years of executive compensation consulting experience. Haleigh specializes in advising Directors and executives on all issues related to compensation, aiming to create long-term value by aligning executives' financial incentives with the company's strategic plan.

Haleigh has worked with a variety of companies across many industries, ranging from pre-IPO to the Fortune 500, with a particular focus on technology, life sciences, consumer products, and media. Her areas of expertise include executive and Board of Directors compensation benchmarking, annual and long-term incentive plan design, and severance and change-in-control provisions.

Haleigh graduated from the University of Chicago with Bachelor’s degree in economics. She is a member of the Silicon Valley Compensation Association (SVCA) and a contributor to the firm’s annual National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Board Compensation Survey.
