Brandt Hamby
Managing Director
Six Pillars Partners


Brandt Hamby is a co-founder and Managing Director of Six Pillars Partners. Brandt serves on the SPP investment committee and is responsible for the management of the firm along with origination, due diligence, value-creation, and fundraising.

Prior to Six Pillars, Brandt was a startup co-founder, public company executive, and private equity investor. Brandt and his partners founded StraightSource, a pioneer in Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) before selling the Company to Kenexa (NYSE: KNXA) in 2007. Brandt served as an Executive at Kenexa prior to founding Six Pillars. Currently, Brandt serves on the Board of Directors of Cadient Talent, Tax Advisors Group, The Liberty Group, and the Sigma Nu Alumni Association. Brandt is a graduate of The University of North Texas holding a BA in Industrial Psychology.

Brandt’s and his wife of 26 years live in Dallas, TX. They have three children, two boys, and one girl. They adopted their oldest son from St. Petersburg, Russia, and continue to be involved in the international adoption community. Even though his drives are flying a bit shorter these days, Brandt is an avid golfer. He also enjoys travel, food, and time outdoors. 

      

Jack Sadden
Co-Founder & Partner
Valesco Industries


A co-founding partner of Valesco Industries, Jack has a broad-based background that reaches across hands-on operating management, professional advisory, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance and private equity. His operating experience includes both executive and advisory posts with distressed and underperforming companies as well as growth businesses in varying economic climates.

Before Valesco, Jack was EVP/CFO of one of North America’s largest independent rebar fabricators. Earlier, he was a principal with a private equity firm where his team built a portfolio of holdings with annual revenues of over $400,000,000. His corporate finance career began at Arthur Young & Company (Ernst & Young) with the firm’s Merger & Acquisition Services Group and his early operations experience came from a series of progressive management positions with ClubCorp.

Jack’s tenure in organizational governance includes both corporate and professional association board appointments. A graduate of the Florida State University School of Business, he is formerly a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

He is married to his high school girlfriend, has a daughter, claims to be a fitness enthusiast, and cannot resist galleries, museums, or music venues of every sort. An active member of the Commanderie de Bordeaux, he spends most weekends in his home kitchen acting the part of closet restauranteur. 

      

Vik Thapar
Managing Director
Cypress Growth Capital


Vik has over twenty years of experience spanning venture capital, private equity and information technology consulting. As a Managing Director with Cypress Growth Capital, his responsibilities span all aspects of the firm’s investment process including identifying promising potential companies, conducting due diligence and providing ongoing support to portfolio companies.
 

Prior to joining the Cypress team in 2012, Vik spent three years with the Texas Emerging Technology Fund (TETF), a $200 Million state-sponsored venture capital fund. The first decade of his career, Vik worked in the information technology field as a business consultant to Fortune 500 companies. When he’s not enjoying time with his wife (Geetha) and two daughters (Maya – 10, Aria – 8), he serves on the Board of Directors of the US – India Chamber of Commerce, the University of Texas – Dallas Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Tech Titans. He is a frequent guest lecturer and panelist on entrepreneurial topics at SMU, TCU and the University of Texas at Dallas. He holds a Master of Business Administration from SMU University, with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Studies and Strategy, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. Vik is a recipient of Dallas Business Journal (DBJ) 40 Under 40 award, DBJ Minority Business Leader Award, D CEO’s 2019 Mergers and Acquisitions Awards – Capital Provider of the Year and SMU Cox School of Business Alumni Award for his work with Cypress and the community.

Suzanne Kriscunas
Managing Partner

Suzanne Kriscunas is a highly accomplished Senior Executive leader and Board Director, leveraging 30+ years of experience leading acquisitions, multibillion-dollar fundraising, and investment fund management, while partnering successfully with middle-market portfolio companies, across multiple industry verticals, on business growth success.

Since 2001, Suzanne has held progressive senior financial leadership roles with The Riverside Company (Riverside), a global Private Equity firm. She held earlier financial roles with Banc One Capital Partners, among other employers, and her capabilities and accomplishments have been noticed for decades. She was appointed by the Texas Governor to the Texas Growth Fund, 1995-1997, became one of the first women to lead a North American buyout fund larger than $1 billion by 2008, and was named by the Dallas Business Journal as one of its 2017 Women in Business Honorees.

Today, Suzanne is a Founding Partner at The Riverside Company’s North American buyout fund, the Riverside Capital Appreciation Fund (RCAF). She also serves as a member of the RCAF Investment Committee, the Riverside Cabinet, and the Riverside Investment Council. In earlier senior leadership, she started Riverside’s Dallas office in 2001, as an Investment Partner for RCAF making (control/majority stakeholder) acquisitions on behalf of the fund. Then, she advanced to manage and co-manage RCAF for 12 years. Suzanne built the RCAF team to 42 investing and operating professionals, secured $3.5B from institutional investors, and grew the fund from $400M AUM to more than $2.8B AUM. She ensured funds were invested strategically and her team provided deep operating, investing and transaction expertise to portfolio companies. Together with portfolio company management, Suzanne and the RCAF team grew great companies and employers, and delivered strong profit returns to portfolio companies, management teams and investors.

Suzanne’s focus remains helping companies grow, modernize and optimize their businesses, serving in board leadership roles. She also engages with educational entities in growth endeavors. An undergraduate alumnus of Denison University, Suzanne serves as a Trustee at Denison, chairing its Finance and Audit Committee, and co-Chairing its next Capital Campaign. She holds an MBA and MA from Indiana University and serves as a Member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at Indiana University, College of Arts and Sciences. Suzanne and her husband reside in Dallas and spend time in both Texas and Colorado.
